“About Me”s are one of the most difficult things to write. I always feel the need to elaborately describe myself and to try and make even the most uninteresting thing about myself interesting. It never works, and I just end up sounding dull and boring.
I am a 20 year old, first year undergraduate studying Creative Writing with English at BCU. I aspire to be some sort of fiction writer – either short stories, novel writing or screenwriting. Maybe a mixture? If I’m lucky?
I’ve created this blog as somewhere to talk about books, films, television programmes and possibly a video game or two. It’s also a place for me to ramble on about almost anything and everything. I want to use it as a way to motivate me to write and to try and improve on my non-fiction writing, my skill in which is basically non-existent. Any (constructive) criticism is more than welcome on my posts – in fact, it is requested.
I have absolutely no idea how this is going to go or how long it’s going to last, but my hopes are that it goes well and lasts for a very long time. (With regular updates, naturally.)
